Established in 1998 and based in Nowra, Shoalhaven Group Training is HVTC’s Shoalhaven Division providing group training services in the Shoalhaven region of NSW. SGT is the region’s leading Group Training Company with a core business of selection, induction and employment of apprentices and trainees, and their placement with selected Host Employers.
SGT offers full administration and manages the employment of apprentices/trainees and focuses its resources on the performance management.
Apprenticeships offered by SGT cover all trade areas and a range of traineeships to suit any industry, organisation or business. Apprenticeships in the Shoalhaven cover the building industry, engineering manufacturing and fabrication, automotive and electrical to name a few. Traineeships covering trade areas, business, hospitality, and IT are offered frequently, but all areas of industry traineeships are covered by SGT's services.
SGT has a strong history of association with the Shoalhaven community. For many years it has been the provider of quality apprentices and trainees to reputable businesses such as Manildra, Silcar and the Shoalhaven City Council. SGT, like many of the Divisions of HVTC, has nurtured high-achieving trainees and apprentices and completed innovative training programs.
